Yes, only I would wipe out during 4th grade recess and end up with a sprained ankle. I'd never been on crutches before, preferring to break my wrist multiple times in the sportsy years, and I can honestly say it's about as frustrating as it gets. I had very nice helpers both and home and in school, with the obvious benefit of the adult helpers not being as keen on stealing my crutches in hopes of dangling precariously from them. That was a big bummer this month, but I'm off crutches and down to a dull yellow colored bruise now, so things are improving.

It's also really nice out, and our plants are starting to grow. They're inside under the lights right now, but they'll go outdoors sometime soon. I'm really excited to have veggies to eat this summer, and I hope some of them actually end up growing.

We're starting a new read-aloud book, and I'm getting to teach a bit more, so that's been better and I've been feeling less frustrated. Still don't know what age and teacher I'll be with next year though.

Annie visited me last weekend and that was a blast--yay seeing college friends, although seeing her made me miss school tremendously. Hearing of my sister's two 20 page papers due the same day helped mitigate that feeling!

So, an update from me. :-)

Officially breaking for a bit over here. WRWF is ongoing. I've felt boring lately, and there are rarely comments, and it's lame to tell your stories without feedback! When I try to tell them in person then too, people already know and don't want to hear it. ;-) So I KNOW I haven't updated, and may not for a bit, just so y'all obsessive bookmarkers know.

Randomly...

Apparently, if you search "sex cam private doom" on msn, my site pops up first. I think someone was quite disappointed...

If you're upset about your favorite religious figure being drawn with a bomb on his head, I think you should definitely protest by lighting things on fire. That makes a lot of sense.

A week and a half until the long weekend!

After last week's busy schedule (off Monday, delay Tuesday, home early when the power went out Wednesday) I wasn't feeling so good about working five whole days in a row this week. (Anyone feeling sorry for me yet? No?) Luckily, we got a delay this morning so at least we're starting off right. The roads actually do look bad so it's not a total gift like some of the last ones have been.
I have a meeting tomorrow about next year and how this year is going and don't know what I want to say. Not the best feeling.
Kisses, all, sorry for the spotty posts.

I just don't seem to have much to say. Work's good, life's good...I DID fall on my butt today on the way out to the car, that could have been improved upon. (Technically I fell forward and just landed on wrists and knees, but "fell on my wrist" doesn't have the same ring.) We have to decide about doing a second year in the next month, a decision I'm really not ready to make at all. I hope I start taking on more responsibility in the classroom, though...that hasn't happened as much as I'd like and I'm not sure how pushy to be. I'll really have to think about what a second year will bring...I think lots, but maybe including frustration as I feel like I'm getting more and more capable and my available skill set is getting utilized less! Mom and Care came to visit and take me out to dinner yesterday, and that was lovely...flu hit the school today...break was wonderful AND the first day back was a SNOW DAY so we got an extra vacation day that was a total gift...got to talk to Missa over email for a few days while she was at the big island, always exciting...Bright's life is hilarious and I love it...reading some good books...New Year's Eve was low key eating dip, going out to dinner, and eating a yummy Bailey's cheesecake, AND I stayed up 'til midnight. Party animal, I know, you don't have to tell me. ;-)

Flat tires on the way to work are NOT a good way to start the day!
